E9x M3 iND Sport EVO Front Lip

IND Distribution’s contacts in the BMW world allow us access to some amazing opportunities from time to time, and our new Sport Evo front lip is a direct result of one such opportunity. An homage to the original BMW front lip seen on the M3 GTS and the E30 M3 Sport Evo, the Sport Evo lip is a fully functional piece designed for extreme use in a motorsport environment. The upper section of the front lip is constructed from highly flexible FRP with an emphasis on a high plastic content for flexibility, while the splitter section is built for increased rub resistance.

Supplied brackets attach the splitter to the frame via the OE oil cooler mounting points, and the splitter is easily adjusted for more or less downforce with female torx fastners located at the bottom of the splitter. All necessary hardware, a fitment template, and complete instructions are included.

These lip kits will be produced in a limited run of 33 pieces in raw FRP and 22 pieces in gloss carbon.

E46 M3 Finned Differential Cover by Motorsport 24!

M24 addresses the E46 M3’s weak differential cover by building a one-off cover machined completely from billet aluminum stock. The flexible OE bushings are eliminated for a simpler, more robust design that also more immediately transfers power through the drive train and to the rear wheels. Cooling fins are integrated into the cover, while the cover’s extra reinforcement ribs increase the strength of the mounting flange. The mounting ears on the differential cover are also reinforced, which addresses a known failure point of the original E46 M3 differential cover.

A Family Matter

Any business will drive the people involved to form friendships that go beyond a simple utilitarian exchange, but when your business is to help people create the cars of their dreams you have an opportunity to connect that is beyond anything that people encounter in more “every day” industries. Working at IND has allowed us to form life-long friendships, and welcome our clients to the IND family.

Philip is one such client. He is not only a life-long friend, but a true member of the IND family. Working on Philip’s M3 is always a pleasure because we know that each time he ships the car to our facility he is placing his trust in us as a member of our family, and we do our best to treat him accordingly. This time, Philip’s car made it’s journey from New York to feed a never-ending addiction to power that’s shared by many who choose to add an ESS kit to their car. Philip changed transformed his already potent VT1-535 equipped M3 into a monster by upgrading to an ESS VT2-600 kit. In combination with his 4.10 differential the car’s midrange and top end response is even better than a standard M3, and the car is now a real force to be reckoned with.

IND added GTS door sills for a subtle reference to this M3’s newfound power, and a hand-pinstriped ESS VT2 600 badge on the trunk for a less subtle statement that tells those following the car to be wise when challenging Philip’s M3.

Like father like son by IND

Most of us can remember enjoying a hobby with our fathers growing up. Whether it’s fishing, sports, or anything else, our memories of our time with our fathers are often some of the fondest memories of our youth. One of our clients was fortunate enough to continue enjoying a hobby with his father well into his adulthood, and the cars we showcase today are a father and son project.

The younger of the two has an incredible ESS supercharged E92 M3, complete with Brembo brakes, KW coilovers, a full exhaust system, and HRE P40S wheels with a brushed finish. His father chose a matching white Porsche 997 Carrera Cabriolet with the same HRE P40S wheels.

IND Anthology

The aphorism “it’s not the destination, but the journey that counts” is a well worn one, and a lesson that can be applied to any life situation. When looking back at the development of IND’s portfolio service thus far, this old wisdom applies perfectly. More than a means to an end or part of some master plan for IND’s success, IND’s Portfolio Service has made the projects themselves the goal all of us are working for. Working with each client to customize their M3 to their specifications has become an opportunity and a privilege here at IND, and I’d like to thank all of the readers for helping us realize these opportunities.

We’ve had a comprehensive thread showcasing our cars for some time, but wanted to create a quick and easy interface to let people view each car at their own pace.

With that, here are each of the Portfolio Projects to date, from our own E92 M3 (one of the first modified M3s in the US), all the way to IND’s Red Death, Silver Standard, Blue Max, and many others.

Building the F10 M5 Piece By Piece

We are in the process of assembling the cosmetic line for the S63tu powered beast

Spawned from a paint shop all of us at IND strive to offer solutions for every vehicle application. Whether it is a painted reflector or a engine cover we are always looking for new ways to enhance the aesthetics of a vehicle. This approach has almost rendered us with a sick obsession for cosmetic accessories. A obsession that will not be tamed by the delayed F10 M5 production in North America. There is a old saying that you can build a car from the parts catalog. With the summer delivery date for North America we will test this theory.

Last week we received a modest size FedEx express shipment from Munich. Please let us know what you would like to see and we will try our best to accommodate the request. As the availability of parts increases so will our offerings. If anyone has any questions please don’t hesitate to contact us. More paint schemes to come.

Meaner than Hell Midnight Run!

We’ve always said that no matter how impressive Green Hell’s capabilities become after years of modifications and changes, it should always remain a street car first and foremost, and you cannot have a good street car without going on your occasional midnight romp through the city. Green Hell is no garage queen, so on Chicago’s absolute last warm night before our yearly white-out of a winter hit the city we went out with the owner of the car to enjoy it one last time.

Full house @ Motorsport24

Aside from access to some of the most unique and well made racing parts in the world, working with Motorsport 24 as their exclusive North American distributor has the added benefit of access to some amazing eye candy! The staff at Motorsport 24 had a full shop this weekend, and sent us this amazing photo.
